Thanks for the note Karen, that was most certainly from your heart. This is a serious issue that we as parents should be doing a much better job not only teaching; but modeling. Lorretta and I both grew up in broken homes, and it has been quite a challenge teaching our kids what we weren't taught. Only through the divine Grace of God, and the many older Godly Men and Women He has placed in our lives have we been able to continue stepping forward with some sense of confidence.

Regarding the article, we receive a devotional email from http://www.proverbs31.org and Lorretta found this pearl and showed me. The author is Lysa TerKeurst and her website is http://lysaterkeurst.com/

I am most certain it would be fine to post this with a link back to her! There is an article on her website with thi title, that the devotional appears to have content pulled from. Read the whole thing here:

I really enjoyed and appreciated your words.

I made a very poor decision 23 years ago, and am now going through a divorce. I believe that I have listened to God's voice in this, and that has brought great peace. But, of course, there is also great pain that my children & I have endured for many years, and in this time, because of my choice.

I've spoken often about how important it is to choose your mate wisely. Your article is wise and true. I have 3 daughters 16 & older and sent this on to them.

Thank you for taking the time to write it.

With your permission I'd like to post it on my Facebook wall. I was a teacher the past 12 years and many of my students are still my friends. These young men & women of middle school to college age could really benefit from your words.

Thanks! Karen
